A Little bit about us

From weddings to events to private dinner parties to canapés & cocktail, we provide a dining experience which you will love. Our exceptional menus are carefully created using the best local, fresh, quality ingredients from the finest suppliers in the North East. We understand the importance of making a positive and memorable impact on friends, family and guests; therefore by listening to your requirements and working with you, we can provide a tailored catering package fulfilling your every request.

We can offer a choice of bespoke menus and services customised to your individual needs. Whether you require canapés, fine dining or bespoke themed menus we can provide you with food and service of the highest quality and standard, helping to make your holiday perfect in every way. We will take away the worry and hassle of having to find babysitters, finding a good restaurant in an area you may not know, the expense of taxis as well as allowing you to relax, not having to cook or wash the dishes and be treated as if you were in a top class restaurant with the luxury of not leaving your holiday home.

Servicing the whole of the North East we have built up a wide, varied and loyal customer base with many well known and branded corporate clients, sports personalities, affluent and distinguished people in the region, however, all customers are treated exactly the same regardless to the client and order.

We strive on our reputation for our good quality and services and gain most of our new business from word of mouth alone. We are privileged and honoured to be working at and with some of the North Easts finest venues, locations and businesses, whether it is castles, marquees, mansion houses and country estates to conference rooms and contemporary office blocks.

Where we are based
Based in Newcastle upon Tyne we are in the heart of the city centre yet nearby the A1 and A69 to take us North, south and West. We have a large fully fitted catering kitchen where we prepare most of our food, fully refrigerated vans for safe and hygienic transportation.

We also offer other complementary services such as providing linen, chair covers, glassware hire, portable bars, drinks, decorations and props to make any occasion a little more creative, memorable and add those personal touches people remember.

Meet the team
Our Head Chef and business partner Jonathan Wardale, has more than 11 years experience as a chef and is best known from his career working for Fresh Element. Jonathan has gained a wealth of knowledge and experience working in some of the best venues in the North East including Malmaisson, Alnwick Treehouse, Six and many fabulous locations working in the outside catering industry including Ellingham Hall, Bamburgh Castle, Narsdale Hall, Lemmington Hall and many other stately homes, castles and iconic venues in the area. Jonathan has cooked for hundreds of well known corporate clients, professional footballers and sportspeople, aristocracy (including Prince Charles during his visit to the North East, Dukes and Duchesses) and MPs. Jonathan has catered for thousands of guests at weddings, local events and private dinner parties. We also have a number of great other chefs that work along side Jonathan who also have years of experience and expertise in the kitchen. As well as Leanne McHugh who is the Event Coordinator/Manager and a director of the business. Leanne takes care of all clients from enquiry right through to after service care. Leanne will take care of all of your requirements and needs and guarantees all of our clients are looked after, helping to ensure that all jobs are handled with the upmost attention and 5* service. We spend a lot of time with our clients ensuring that they are 100% happy with their menu and additional services, with taster sessions and bespoke menus to cater for all of your requests. We have a fantastic waiting team that have been trained to give outstanding service. All members of LoveFood are presented well, wearing all black with the LoveFood uniform and are all very reliable, polite, professional and friendly, taking the pressure of serving, clearing and hosting away from our client where applicable. No staff are sourced through agencies and we dedicate time and money in finding great event/waiting staff to help complete our team.
