From Steve, Nirmala and Joshua Osborn We just had a fantastic week in South Granary. The weather was very cold - we even had some snow but the cottage was warm, snug and very comfortable. Beacon Hill is a lovely place with lots of wildlife and we saw a fox, a red squirrel and many interesting birds during our stay. We enjoyed the leisure facilities and the games room which are very nicely kept. There is so much to see and do nearby and the countryside is stunning. If you like fish and chips, go to Seahouses - we saw at least five fish and chip restaurants there. We went to Neptunes and I can honestly say it was the best I've ever had. We had an incredible drive to Alnwick - the road was like a roller-coaster, with one warning of a 'hidden-dip', which felt more like a sheer drop! We definately want to come back again. |

We just wanted to thank you for a wonderful week at South Granary. The cottage, location and facilities were excellent and allowed us to enjoy a relaxing, pampered break. We took your advice and enjoyed the immediate area rather than driving miles: Meg's lake, the Harry Potter trail (only found sixteen before being thwarted by the weather!) and walks around your land, interspersed with reading in the cottage and relaxing at the spa. The Indian Restaurant in Morpeth, where we enjoyed a meal on our final evening, was a very good recommendation too. Absolutely perfect! We will definitely be back! |

We have been going to Beacon Hill since the first year it opened 23 years ago and have been every year since, ususlly spring and winter. We have just got back from our stay in Willow Cottage and I have just learned how to use my computer (I am a pensioner). I can honestly say this was probably the most enjoyable of all our visits. We were lucky with the weather and we had some great trips out. What we can't believe is that we seem to enjoy it more every time we go. Everything is so clean and there are always improvements. Thank you Alun, Beacon Hill has become part of our lives. I can't wait until June. |

We recently spent our first holiday at Beacon Hill and can honestly say what a wonderful time we had. Can't remember the last time i felt so relaxed thanks to a holiday. Set in beautiful scenery, the cottage where we stayed - Ash - is lovely, cosy and has spectacular views. Turn off the telly, switch on some classical music and you will chill. The leisure facilities are first class - I particularly liked the gym with its start-of-the-art equipment. The pool, jacuzzi and laconium were all lovely, as well. We took Alun's advice and did little in the way of travelling around the county and we were glad we did. We enjoyed walking around the lanes near the farm, spending an hour at Meg's Lake and wandering around the wood close to the farm on the Harry Potter trail. I could go on, but I'm sure you've got the impression by now. If you've not been to Beacon Hill before, give it a go. You won't regret it! |

Just returned from North Granary Cottage for the New Year week. We had an absolutely brilliant time. The accommodation was lovely and clean! The facilities are fantastic. We made great use of them all, especially the gym and pool! We also hadsome treatents by Jean; she was excellent. Definitley would recommend a relaxing massage or facial! We will definitely be returning to Beacon Hill, it's one of the nicest places we have stayed. Thanks to Alun for making us feel very welcome. |
