Beacon Hill’s wonderful location near Alnwick and Durham has allowed us to create fifteen luxury self catering holiday cottages in Northumberland, all set in beautiful gardens and with stunning views of the Northumberland coast and hills that take full advantage of this superb setting. Many guests return annually and some do little but relax in their chosen luxury holiday cottage and our fabulous Spa - the use of which is available to all of our guests at no extra charge.

Our self catering holiday cottages vary in size, but adopt the same quality approach to furnishing and decoration throughout. In every luxurious cottage, you will find 35 feet of good books, pictures and prints, comfortable seating and a great sense of style – and it will be warm! – providing the ultimate surroundings in which to enjoy the views of Northumberland.

On arrival, we provide washing-up liquid, soap powder, dishwasher tablets, toilet paper, hand soap, kitchen roll, a bottle of wine, flowers in season, milk, salt and pepper, and a jar of local honey, all included in the rent, as is the heating, constant hot water, logs and coal.

Cottage Amenities and Furnishings

Every one of our holiday cottages has Wi-Fi, Sky television with Sports, radios, music systems, a fully-fitted kitchen with washer / drier and dishwasher (with the exception of Wood Cottage). Every cottage has either granite worktops or hardwood worktops in the case of Larch Cottage and Willow Cottage, at least a four-ring hob and a full electric oven and microwave. There is every conceivable kitchen utensil you could want and masses of plates and glasses.

Helping you experience a true Northumbrian night’s sleep, all of the beds in our coastal cottages will be made up and bath and hand towels are provided. We can supply as many cots and high chairs as you require at no extra charge.
