All fifteen cottages at Beacon Hill Farm near Longhorsley, Northumberland, have been awarded a coveted new, gold status for their exceptional quality of self catering accommodation and customer service.

These new awards have been created by Visit England for 5-star and 4-star self catering properties only and represent a new elite ranking for visitors looking for the very best self catering holidays on offer.

Beacon Hill Farm, set in unspoilt countryside with 40 acres of ancient beech wood, offers guests to Northumberland the best of everything including immaculately presented and equipped accommodation, luxury spa, swimming pool, gym and beauty salon.

For outdoor enthusiasts, there is also a lake, woods, children’s play areas and miles of walks mapped out across private land.

The properties have won numerous awards and Beacon Hill is the only self catering business in England to have won England’s Best Self Catering Holiday of the Year twice.

Alun Moore, who has owned and run Beacon Hill Farm since 1979 says:

I’m absolutely delighted that all our cottages here have been awarded this new elite gold status. It’s the top possible grade to have and there are very few self catering holiday businesses in the country to have achieved it. It’s a great accolade to the hard work of the team who work here and to the high standards we have always set and will continue to offer all our guests at Beacon Hill.
