Here, parents and grandparents can enjoy the opportunity to take youngsters on a journey back in time to the days when they were encouraged to enjoy nature and have fun outdoor adventures roaming the wild in total safety.
Families staying at Beacon Hill Farm are encouraged to gather their own wood for campfires, use a tree house to spot red squirrels and hunt for clues on a Harry Potter Trail in an ancient 40-acre beech wood.
They are also free to wander over natural pasture grazed by cattle, sheep, horses and wild deer, go swimming in a wildlife lake, explore a 20-acre nature reserve, sizzle sausages on a stone barbecue built into a gorse-covered hillside or catch a rainbow trout to cook for supper.
To burn off more youthful energy there is an all-weather tennis court, croquet lawn, trampoline, adventure playground, cricket net, football pitch, an indoor swimming pool and large gymnasium.
